I got new mint nail polish. Yay!

Naturally I needed to plan an outfit entirely around the nails. It was actually pretty simple because all I did was keep everything else in neutrals.

I paired my sweet mint nails with a black blazer, grey trousers, lace top and "bling."

It came together really good, I wish that I had taken a picture before work when it was light instead of this grain-y one. Oh well! Its a definite repeat. I may even go wilder with the nails next time!

I was supposed to post this yesterday but my poor old lap top was crying for a break...

One of these days its going to break down on me.

Jake got this pencil skirt for a couple christmas..es? (hmm...not sure how to spell that) ago.

Anyways I love it, pencil skirts are usually pretty flattering on most shapes. They emphasize your smallest point (your true waist) and your best curve, your bum.

I paired the skirt with my grey v-neck and black blazer.

The thing I love about this one is that all the lines are very sleek and professional. Great for work.

Too keep the sleek look I put my hair in a simple bun.

Okay we are going to ignore the fact that I look slightly depressed in this picture and focus on how cute this outfit this is.

I've had the jacket for some time now but I believe I got it at either Forever 21 or Maurices.

The shirt and pants are new...

The shirt was about $20 at Forever 21

The pants were about $15 on Amazon, they were "Zehui Women's Bowknot Baggy Harlem Pants"

love. love. love.

Sooo this picture isn't the greatest but you can get the basic idea...

I bought this navy, black collared tee at Forever 21 for $12. It is so versatile because I can dress it down or up!

For work today I paired it with a black vest and dark grey trousers.

I was feeling "green" for work today. But seriously, I love green...and I love cardigans. I got this extra long one a couple years ago.

Today I paired it with my black vest, zebra halter and grey slacks.

I used gold tones for my eye shadow and similar bronzer on my cheeks.

For my hair I formed a low messy bum on the right side of my head. Whenever I have an updo I try to take advantage and wear dangly earrings! Today I wore my gold chain ones.

I got out my Navy inspired jacket for work today!

Since I had gold buttons I decided to play up the warm tones by pairing it with a mustard blouse.

I also threw on my grey slacks and gold pointies.

Back to work again!

I felt like I had a mini vacation getting Tuesday & Wednesday off this week.

I guess I've been getting overtime a little too long.

Today for work I still had a little "vacation brain" so I decided I needed to have an easy outfit day.

My favorite easy outfit?
A cardigan and a patterned shirt

I also expanded my easy day to my makeup. I did my regular coverup, light blush with just a tad of mascara.

Best accessory?
A great smile.

Yes, yes I did just write that incredibly cheesy line.
But its true.

This is my "so excited for work face"

No really, I love my job. All sarcasm aside.

I bought this red-orange blazer at Forever 21 a couple of months ago. I don't remember the price but they are usually pretty reasonable ($20 range).

I paired it with this black and white striped shirt and black slacks. I love the shirt because it has a ribbon bow sew on.

I wore my pearl dangly earring [see below for close up] and simple makeup.

For my hair I did a "twist and tuck". No this is not the actual name but thats a good enough discription. Posting the tutorial shortly.

You can see my dangly earring a little bit better here.

They are basically chunky with different sizes of pearls that hang down about an inch.

My makeup is just foundation & light blush.

For the eyes I have a thin line of back eyeliner across my top lid and a thin line underneath, following my lower lashes, that goes from my outer corner to middle.

 Black mascara to finish.

Find of the month...

This fantastic navy blazer! Purchased at Charlotte Russe for $15 dollars.

My favorite detail is the gold zipper that goes around the entire blazer; such a cute detail!

Worth every penny

I paired it with my white button down from Banana Republic $20 and black slacks, also from Banana Republic $35.

They were on sale.

Gold stud earrings and my favorite watch.

For my hair I did a braided crown with a bun in the back; keep posted for the tutorial!

The idea: Pair blouse, cardigan and belt (cinched at below your bust or at your true waist).

I chose my peach cardigan, tan blouse and brown belt.

For bottoms I wore brown slacks and tan oxfords.

I also curled my hair with a straighter.

By the way curling with a straighter is amazing! you can do tight or loose curls and they stay FOREVER!

I will post a tutorial curling with a straightener later this week.

You can see the complete outfit below; it works great for me because I work for a bank.

Professional yet fun and simple!
