We had to go to UVU campus today to register Jake for classes starting the 24th...of June. We are slow.

Yay, Jake! He is making the leap of faith to go back to school after being out for 4 years! So proud of him!

Anyways, the outing gave me the chance to wear some non-professional clothing. What does that mean? JEANS!

I could live in jeans.

I broke out my brand new birthday jeans (my birthday was the 5th) that I bought for $20.00 at Maurices.

They are awesome.

The are stretch to fit meaning, you buy them snug and they stretch to fit.

I know how this sounds and I was skeptical at first too but they are so comfy! AND in a pant size smaller than I have been wearing! Woot! Woot!

I realized while typing the title to the post that it sounds too much like pin-up girls. Whoops! Too late, already edited my photo.

This pin-up is for pinning up the sides of your hair to mimic a half up hair style.

I first loosely curled my entire head. Then I pulled back the sides of my hair, one at a time, and bobby pinned into place.

This is such a fun girly outfit! I'm married to a cowboy so of course he got me some nice Ariat boots. Yes, I'm spoiled.

I paired my sweet boots with my lace blouse, knit bolero, floral skirt, brown belt and bronze jewelry. As cheesy as it sounds, I just felt pretty and feminine.

I was feeling "green" for work today. But seriously, I love green...and I love cardigans. I got this extra long one a couple years ago.

Today I paired it with my black vest, zebra halter and grey slacks.

I used gold tones for my eye shadow and similar bronzer on my cheeks.

For my hair I formed a low messy bum on the right side of my head. Whenever I have an updo I try to take advantage and wear dangly earrings! Today I wore my gold chain ones.

This is one of my favorite quick hair dos.

All you need to do is french braid your bangs, or what would be your bangs, from one side to the other and bobby pin in place.

I have also paired this braid with ponytails, buns, half up dos the whole enchilada!

The best part?

Your hair is totally out of your way and it looks fancy too!

I got out my Navy inspired jacket for work today!

Since I had gold buttons I decided to play up the warm tones by pairing it with a mustard blouse.

I also threw on my grey slacks and gold pointies.

This is a flash back to one of Bri (my best friend) and my first videos. We make music videos all the time just for fun. Its a blast!

I decided to post this picture because I'm wearing my favorite rocker accessory; my black moccasin boots.

I paired them with a black band tee, some cool jeans and lots of bangles.

I also had some much fun hair that summer as well. I bleached my hair line, forehead to nap of neck.  I looked even cooler pulled up. It was a lot of up-keep though!

For my hair I loosly curled all my hair.

I then pulled my bangs and the sides of my hair back into a poof. I secured with four bobby pins.

If your poof doesn't stand very well you can "rat" it first.

All in all pretty easy.

For eye makeup I coated my eye from inner corner to mid lid with white & outer corner to mid lid with light pink.

To add definition I took a darker pink in my eye crease from outer corner to mid lid.

I finished with mascara.

For church today I decided to go a little retro.

I bought this geometric patterned skirt at Forever 21 about a year ago. I am also wearing a second skirt underneath because it is not long enough for my liking.

I got a bonus because the brown belt came with the skirt. Woot! woot!

I got my jean shirt from Burlington Coat Factory for $10.00

My shoes I bought for $25. I should have bought more than one pair because I they go with everything!

I am wearing the poor suckers out.

Below are the earrings I wore; I picked them up traveling Italy.

I love buns! Can you tell? This "top bun" is perfect because its simple yet classic. Reminds me if my early ballerina days...early early days. I think I was five. If you have longer hair than me you can actually tug some of your hair looser to make it appear fuller. Score!
